The Monaco-ITER International Fusion Energy Days (MIIFED) combined with the ITER Business Forum (IBF) is a three day conference, hosted in the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco on 8-10 February 2016. with a guided tour of the ITER site on February 11. It brings together testimonies and experiences from the world industry about their participation in ITER and the conference will also review the progress achieved so far, the status of construction and manufacturing, and the upcoming industrial activities.
This international event targets the world industry but also presents major scientific and technological developments in the field of fusion and energy and its aim is to encourage synergies between energy-related research and technology developments. Its broadly varying conference sessions and B2B and B2C contacts will facilitate learning, networking and partnering with other industrial and research actors.
Programme
From 8-10 February, 2016, the event offers:
- Plenary sessions with the main players in fusion and energy
- Presentation of the status of the ITER project
- Presentation of procurement activities in each ITER Member
- Round tables with industrialists, scientists and representatives from ITER Domestic Agencies
- Presentations of research projects to participants and to the press
- "Business to Business" (B2B) meetings between interested industrial companies or "Business to Customer" (B2C) meetings between interested companies and ITER Organization or Domestic Agency staff members, with the aim of developing networking and research-technology synergies
- Exhibition of fusion and energy technology
On February 11 there will be a visit of the ITER site and a meeting with the project management in the ITER Headquarters.
Target Public
Industrialists (senior management, R&D, public affairs, communication, …), energy stakeholders, researchers and students are invited to join this conference in order to exchange views and experiences and to form international business relationships. Participants will have to cover their own travel and accomodation costs.
