FuseNet welcomes proposals for the production of video material suitable for classrooms about the status and challenges of nuclear fusion
Together with the host organisation, FuseNet has found a new date for the PhD Event, provided it is allowed and responsible to hold: 9 to 12 November 2020, Padua.
A few weeks ago, we announced her as the Pecha Kucha champion of the previous PhD-event, but as a woman in the scientific field, Ana Kostic has also another story to tell.
It was a spark during a physics lecture at her bachelor college that ignited her interest in nuclear fusion. Since then, Ana Kostic, born and raised in Serbia, has moved across Europe in pursuit of her fusion career, an effort in which she hopes to inspire also the younger generation to find their calling.
The Principality of Monaco and ITER have launched their biennial call for applications to the Postdoctoral Fellowships. The Monaco Fellows, as they are called, will be trained—over a period of two years—in research areas related to the ITER Project.
The group led by L. Marot is based at the University of Basel. The group is a 'Linked Third Party' of EPFL (Swiss Plasma Center) in the frame of the EUROfusion Consortium.

The venue for the next PhD Event has been found: Padova. From 3 to 6 March, the European doctoral students will gather in the old city, its gardens and the experimental facilities. We are honoured that the University of Padova and Consorzio RFX will host the event.
As of now, FuseNet is looking for organisations, companies, research institutes or universities in Europe that want to organize such a mini-workshop. The call is open from now on and runs until 1 June 2019. Institutes can claim the actual costs, up to 9k€ each. See the attached document for more details.
