With the support of FuseNet, I attended the PlasmaSurf Summer Course 2025, organized by IPFN in Libon. As an engineering physics student, I found the lectures really interesting and accessible, even for those like myself who are not physicists nor fully focused on plasma research. I especially enjoyed the talk on plasmas in space, which gave me a new perspective on areas of research I had not previously considered.
The program covered a wide range of topics, and the instructors made sure we all had a good understanding, no matter our background. I appreciated how welcoming and helpful the professors and staff were throughout the week.
Outside the lectures, we had amazing activities like surfing, kayaking, and rock climbing, which helped us relax and get to know each other. In particular, I loved trying out mountain skate. additionally, the residence had a great location and made the experience even better, it was right beside the campus and very convenient to get to the city center by public transportation.
This is the first summer school I get to attend. Overall, PlasmaSurf was a fantastic mix of learning and fun. I met great people, discovered new areas of interest, and made memories I’ll never forget. Thanks to IPFN and FuseNet for this amazing opportunity!
