I attended the ITER International Summer School on Integrated Modelling of Magnetic Fusion Plasmas in Aix-en-Provence, from June 30th to July 4th. It was an amazing experience that enriched me both professionally and socially.
In addition to attending lectures on integrated modelling, the summer school gave me the opportunity to connect with people from all around the world who share the same dream as I do: harnessing energy from fusion.
The school also helped me discover which field I would like to pursue in my future studies. One of the highlights was the organized visit to the ITER fusion reactor construction site — a long-held dream of mine that finally came true. There, we witnessed how big the ITER project is and how many people from different countries work together toward a common goal. This was deeply inspiring on many levels.
I am truly grateful for the opportunity I was given, and I highly recommend this program to anyone interested in specializing in fusion research.
