Between 26th June 2023 and 30th June 2023, I attended the 12th ITER International
School in Aix-en-Provence, France. This summer school focused on the topic of "The
Impact and Consequences of Energetic Particles on Fusion Plasma". Students from all
over Europe and also from other continents participated in this event, so it was a perfect
opportunity to meet young physicists from all over the world. Throughout the program,
we explored various aspects, including the influence on plasma stability, diagnosing
particle transport and loss, and understanding runaway electrons.
During the summer school, we had a variety of activities, including lectures,
discussions, and poster sessions. These activities helped us learn more about the
subject and connect with other participants. The knowledge shared and the interactions
with fellow attendees created a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.
One of the most memorable experiences of the summer school was the visit to the ITER
worksite in Cadarache. The opportunity to witness the ongoing construction of ITER
was truly remarkable.
