The DEMO Plasma Transport Responsible Officer in the DEMO Central Team (DCT)1 is responsible for evolving the physics basis for predictive transport models for the plasma core and edge, and for integrating these models into the transport simulations carried out to assess the performance of the DEMO plasma. Therefore, the position requires building up strong links with the related EUROfusion Work packages within FSD, most notably WPTE and WPPWIE, as well as the corresponding activities in E-TASC. Another responsibility is the definition and supervision of specific tasks in the areas that are carried out by WPDES.

The DEMO Transport Responsible Officer will preferentially work in Garching, Germany, and will report to the head of the plasma system division. An involvement of at least 50% of the individual’s working time is required for the job.
