The Swiss Plasma Center is a leading European institute for fusion research located on the EPFL university campus in Lausanne. It hosts the TCV tokamak, the European Gyrotron test stand, a number of other experimental facilities as well as one of EUROfusion's Advanced Computing Hubs.
PhD projects are available on a variety of topics ranging from plasma heating, diagnostics and control, edge physics as well as high-performance computing for fusion simulations and fusion theory. PhD students are hired throughout the year and candidates are encouraged to apply at any time.
