Professor of Science and Technology of Nuclear Fusion

The vacancy is open for all academic levels: from tenure track assistant professor to tenured full professor, depending only on the candidate. We are looking for candidates with a background in physics, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering, and with a proclivity for technological aspects of fusion science.

The Fusion research group at the TU/e is an enthusiastic, relatively young, group of researchers in the field of nuclear fusion who also share a passion for working with students. Through their research and student projects, they have a strong international network. They work in close collaboration with the national center for fusion research DIFFER and a variety of research groups at the university. The group is part of the Applied Physics department.

Given the present team composition, we especially encourage researchers with an engineering background to apply.
