PlasmaSurf was so far the best summer school I have ever attended. It took place from the 13th to the 19th of July, and the entire week was both inspiring and unforgettable.The lectures were designed such that students from all levels,bachelor, master, and PhD could follow and benefit from them. The professors were incredibly passionate about their topics, which made the sessions engaging and motivating. Even within the short time frame, they managed to deliver excellent lectures that sparked curiosity and encouraged us to learn 

From February to August 2025, I had the opportunity to carry out my final-year internship at the Swiss Plasma Center (EPFL), supported by FuseNet. My work took place on TCV (Tokamak à Configuration Variable), a uniquely flexible fusion experiment in Lausanne, where I joined the “fast-ion” group to study the behaviour of energetic particles in magnetically confined plasmas. 

The 2025 edition of the PlasmaSurf Summer Course was organized by the Instituto de Plasmas e Fusão Nuclear (IPFN) and held at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) in Lisbon, taking place from 13th to 19th July. 

My experience at CIEMAT, Madrid was a very positive one. I came looking for an opportunity to work with liquid metal, and live in a big city, and I left with countless memories, great friends, and some solid lab experience under my belt. Thanks to FuseNet, I had the financial means to take on the move to another country to gain experience with the unique equipment and expertise available at the Liquid Metals Laboratory. 

This summer I had the opportunity to participate in PlasmaSurf, the international summer school on plasma physics and nuclear fusion, organized by the Technical University of Lisbon and the Instituto de Plasmas e Fusão Nuclear (IPFN). The school brought together students from different stages of their academic journey, from undergraduates to PhD candidates, creating a very inspiring environment to learn and exchange ideas. 

This summer I attended the 62nd Plasma Physics Summer School, a two-week programme hosted at the UKAEA Culham Campus including sessions at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory. The school brought together students and researchers from across Europe to explore the fundamentals and applications of plasma physics, with a focus on both magnetic and inertial confinement fusion.One of the aspects I enjoyed most was the networking. It was inspiring to meet like-minded students 

With the support of FuseNet, I attended the PlasmaSurf Summer Course 2025, organized by IPFN in Libon. As an engineering physics student, I found the lectures really interesting and accessible, even for those like myself who are not physicists nor fully focused on plasma research. I especially enjoyed the talk on plasmas in space, which gave me a new perspective on areas of research I had not previously considered. 

This summer I had the chance to attend the ITER Summer School 2025,which was focused on Integrated modelling. For me, as I am early in my career,it was not only about learning new things but also about meeting people, andacquiring a broad view of the topics in nuclear fusion.
