This summer I had the chance to attend the ITER Summer School 2025,which was focused on Integrated modelling. For me, as I am early in my career,it was not only about learning new things but also about meeting people, andacquiring a broad view of the topics in nuclear fusion. 

From 13 to 19 July 2025, I had the opportunity to participate in PlasmaSurf 2025, an international summer school organized by the Instituto de Plasmas e Fusão Nuclear (IPFN) at Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon, Portugal. 

The Culham Plasma Physics Summer School opened a huge insight into Fusion and in particular interesting for me, low temperature plasmas. Although it was a little bit overwhelming, I learned the basics of plasma physics and the important concepts and keywords to look for depending on the scientific questions I will have in the future. With this, I now have a very good understanding of the processes in my experiment which is an inductively coupled hydrogen plasma. 

More than a simulation: my experience at the ITER International SchoolThanks to the support from FuseNet, I was able to attend the 14th ITER International School on "Integrated Modelling of Magnetic Fusion Plasmas" and it was one of the most formative experiences of my Master so far.  

From February to July 2025, I had the great opportunity to carry out my master's thesis at the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) in Lisbon. This six-month internship, made possible by the support of FuseNet, marked the conclusion of my Master's degree in Plasma Physics at the University of Milano-Bicocca. 

I recently had the opportunity to attend the Culham Plasma Summer School, and it was a very rewarding experience. The course was delivered at a high professional standard, with well-structured lectures that built a solid understanding of key plasma physics concepts. What I particularly enjoyed were the theory-heavy sessions, especially those exploring plasma behavior in space. The depth and clarity with which complex ideas were presented made the theory not only accessible but genuinely fascinating. The environment throughout the week was engaging and supportive.

Earlier this summer I was able to attend to the 14th ITER International School on integrated modelling (IM) for magnetic fusion plasmas, thanks to the support of FuseNet.

Thanks to the FuseNet Mobility Programme, I had the opportunity to participate in the Summer School on Plasma Physics – PlasmaSurf, held from July 13th to 19th, 2025. 

Thanks to FuseNet, I had the opportunity to attend the ITER International Summer School on Integrated Modelling of Magnetic Fusion Plasmas, which took place from June 30 to July 4 in Aix-en-Provence, France.
