On 14 October, we held the Teacher Day 2022. With over 150 secondary school teachers from 33 different countries attending the online event, the day was a great success! The day consisted of domestic sessions (held in the local language), followed by the European session.

In module 5, students have a look at the changing energy landscape: where does the electricity of the future come from? Fusion might be a contender. Its advantages, disadvantages and costs are discussed and we look to the future steps for fusion energy.

Module 4: Fusion Materials

The fourth module out of FuseNet's educational materials for secondary schools! In module 4: Fusion materials, students learn about the materials used to build a fusion reactor. The module focuses on how the large heat exhaust of a fusion reactor is handled, and on how the anticipated neutron irradiation changes the reactor design.

The third module out of FuseNet's educational materials for secondary school! In module 3: Plasma control, students learn about the basics of control theory, and how this is applied to fusion, with a special focus on controlling the plasma temperature.
